Praise the Lord

Psalm 63:4

"So I will bless you as long as I live; in your name I will lift up my hands."

We express our love for God in PRAISE and worship by putting our whole selves into the experience. We are INSTRUMENTS for His use. We are temples of the Holy Spirit.

When we praise God with our whole hearts and body, we enter into a new level of awareness of His presence. Together, we feel the excitement of the joy being expressed and released. Even our breathing while singing with others enhances our connection we have with God. Psalms 150:6 says, "Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!"

We are made to come alive and gather together with others. Our breath was given to us to praise God and unite with others to express joy! When we live and move and have our being in Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit, we grow closer to Him. When we use our bodies in this way, we truly are INSTRUMENTS for harmony in the WORLD! Let us pray: "O Almighty God, who pours out on all who desire it the spirit of grace and of supplication: Deliver us, when we draw near to You, from coldness of heart and wanderings of mind, that with steadfast thoughts and kindled affections we may worship You in spirit and in truth; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen." (BCP 833)
