A Truth is a Truth is a Truth
Psalms 119:105
"Thy word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path."
The Bible is the wisest book ever written. There is unity in truth. A truth is a truth is a truth. We can't say it is a psychological truth and not a biblical truth. If it is a biblical truth and it relates to human nature, it is also a psychological truth.
"Goodbye" and "hello" are two words that will help break cynicism, doubt, anger, hate, suspicion, distrust, and unbelief. All can be negative emotions. When these negative emotions come at you and you're tempted to react the way you have in the past, say to yourself, "Here I am doubting again. I'm listening to my unbelief again. Goodbye! Goodbye, old life. Hello to the new!" New emotions of faith, believing, and love.
This transformation is an act of God, but it is also where salvation COMES in. The Bible speaks of a person being born again! It really happens! We can become a new creature if you will let your heart soften and receive the love of Jesus Christ (see 2 Corinthians 5:17). HELLO, LORD. HELLO, FAITH. HELLO, LOVE.
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, help me to set my mind on Your truth about me and my future. Help me to listen to what You say about me and others. May I accept gratefully what you've done for me, and may I live more into who I really am in Christ. I don't want these old negative emotions. I give them to you, Jesus, and release them into your hands at the cross, where you took all those sins on yourself. Goodbye old. Hello new! Amen.
