Pray About Everything

Franklin Roosevelt said, “The only thing to fear is fear itself.”

However, while jailed, Paul wrote in Philippians 4:4-7, “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your heart and your minds in Christ Jesus.” In other words, don’t worry about anything; pray about everything. Give your worrisome thoughts over to God, and He will use the power in those worrisome thoughts to give you strength and direction. Psalm 16:11 says, “You have made known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand."

Happiness depends on happenings; whereas, joy - true joy - comes from the Holy Spirit. When Christ is at the forefront of your thoughts throughout the day, you are experiencing heaven on earth. In John 14:6-7, Jesus said, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you know me, you will know my Father also.” Let us Pray: Dear God, please help steer me away from selfish thoughts, and give me strength to faithfully hand over all my worldly concerns to you and live in Thy presence. Amen. Peace be with you
