Have Mercy On Me
Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” (Mark 10:47)
This Gospel account in Mark 10 records Jesus walking along the road to Jericho with a crowd of followers. We also see Bartimaeus sitting on the roadside begging, and he cries out, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” (v. 47). "'What do you want me to do for you?' Jesus asked him. The blind man said, 'Rabbi, I want to see.' 'Go,' said Jesus, 'your faith has healed you.' Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road" (v. 51-52). It is not always easy to see Jesus. He is present in every person we meet, and he is ready and willing to heal us. We need to have a single-minded faith. He is the answer to all our misgivings, fears, and troubles. If you feel confined, or alone, look to Jesus. Jesus is our constant companion. Your faith will make you well. Let us pray:
I want to see Jesus! He was here, He is here, He will be here. Amen.
