This Sunday (April 14) begins Holy Week, the last week of Lent and the beginning of the annual remembrance of the events leading up to Jesus' resurrection. Holy Week is an invitation not only to remember, but to identify with Jesus in his suffering and resurrection. Philippians 3:10-11 says, "I want to know him and the power of his resurrection and share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, that by any means possible I may attain the resurrection from the dead." All are welcome to the pageantry and presence of Christ that fills Holy Week, a feast for the senses: palm branches in parade, candlelight vigils, the echo of nails hammered, sunlight beaming over the ocean, and more!
Here is Church of the Holy Spirit's schedule for Holy Week:
Palm Sunday (April 14), 10 AM - Gather in the CHS courtyard and process with blessed palms in remembrance of Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem
Maundy Thursday (April 18), 6:30 PM - Enjoy a simple soup and salad meal in fellowship with Greater Life Empowerment Church. Learn and discuss the significance of the events at the Last Supper and receive Holy Communion.

Later Friday evening, 7 PM - "The Cross Through My Eyes," Music and drama complement Bible readings, told by those in character who were at the Crucifixion. In conjunction with Greater Life Empowerment Church.
