"I am the vine; you are the branches.
If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing" (John 15:5).

Watermelons were not the fruit Jesus was referring to in those words, but watermelons do grow on vines and can be used to bless others and share the life of Jesus. We're hosting a watermelon patch! Saturday, May 5, from 9 AM - 3 PM. We won't just sell them, but we'll have fun family activities, food, music, and a prayer booth. We'll need some help Friday afternoon, May 4, to unload the watermelons. Please come if you can! Thanks to the Langs for working with farmers to get them to CHS!
If you can help with the watermelon patch, please contact Laura Lang at firstname.lastname@example.org. We need folks who are willing to give an hour or two to welcome people, take money donations for watermelons picked, pray with people if they allow, serve food, work with kids with simple activities (crafts or games), and just provide a friendly atmosphere.
May we have a fruitful day, but may we more importantly bear spiritual fruit for God's glory!
